I urge all Island Savings Credit Union members to carefully consider their proposed merger vote with First West Credit Union, and join me in voting NO so we can keep Island Savings local. The purpose of Credit Unions is to keep and put community money in the local community.

The Dean River is in a very remote location the central coast, just north of Bella Coola.  It is a world famous fishing destination that draws anglers from all over the world every summer. 

Our wonderful Heritage River has always been a great place for fishing.  In years long past it was a world-class destination for fishers from all over the world.  Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand, whose assassination started World War I, visited the Cowichan River in the early 20th century to participate in the legendary spring rainbow trout fishery.
