The local elections are fast approaching and there is so much at stake.
On October 20th, not only will we be heading to the polls to elect new Mayors and Council in Duncan, Ladysmith, Lake Cowichan and North Cowichan, new Area Directors for the CVRD and new School District Trustees but we have 2 very important referendum questions on whether to create two new service establishment bylaws, one on Drinking Water & Watershed Protection and the other to support Housing (not to mention the provincial mail-in ballot you'll receive to vote on electoral reform!).
NOW is your time to act on what you care deeply about.
Join our Elections Campaign team and help make a difference for our watersheds in this critical campaign.
On Saturday September 22nd from 10am-3pm we’re excited to be bringing in experts on community organizing for a special Say YES for Water - Campaign Training.
Join us to develop skills in story-telling, practice canvassing, and set a schedule for campaigning. Normally this training would cost $100 per participant, but right now we're able to offer it for FREE.
This is your chance to join the team working hard to achieve positive change. Bring a friend!
