One Cowichan engages fellow citizens on local social and environmental issues to make our collective voice more powerful. We believe in holding decision makers accountable to the strong values that join us together as a community. You are not required to provide any personal information to visit this website.

If you give us your personal information because you have signed a petition, made a donation, signed up as a volunteer, participated in a survey or have subscribed to our newletter and emails, we will maintain your information in our database so we can follow up with you during campaigns of interest. We will also email occasional updates on the organization and/or solicit feedback from you on what activities and directions we may take.

Your privacy is important to us. We will never buy, sell, or trade your information with other companies or organizations.  One Cowichan volunteers or staff members may be given temporary access to your information in order to invite you to attend an event, volunteer, donate or vote.  Occasionally, we may partner with allied organizations to share volunteers on a joint phonebank campaign or deliver a joint petition.  Any such arrangements are preceded by a written memorandum of understanding that none of your information will remain with the partner organization at the end of the campaign.

All donations are processed directly through our website by a third party company Authorize.net or PayPal, your choice. We do not keep your credit card information on file.  We never sell, buy, trade, or share donor information. Donations can be refunded upon request, within 3 days of when it was received.
