One of the many things I love about the Cowichan Valley is the degree of cooperation we have among government agencies, industry, First Nations and volunteer groups. 

Over 70 local citizens attended our BC election community conversation on January 30^th, ready to take over this upcoming BC election. I know, I know, the US might be ruining politics for some, but for this crowd it was motivation. We can - and must - do so much better.

2016 has been quite the year around the world. For One Cowichan, it’s been a year focused on water, specifically on governance and storage. Following our incredible Sing for Water event in April and after multiple strategic discussions in the late winter/early spring, we ran a petition requesting federal infrastructure funds to raise the weir at Cowichan Lake.
